T. nor have we any idea of the brand being advertised. Nonetheless, this marvelous cut-out image is a beautiful example of Art Deco's fascination for the exotic. Africa was a great source of exotic imagery and Art Deco designers often borrowed bold abstract patterns and subdued dark colors typical of Central African Art. The artist depicts a woman wearing a flowing skirt and elaborate arm jewelry, serving a cup of steaming coffee or tea.
